Small Life Update. Car Works Now

This post is a small update to drama that is taking over my life lately. I will not go into detail here. For more context, check out my last vent about it at https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4MapperTest/issues/84.

Not actively homeless yet. It really feels like it could be any day now with how things are going. The only positive change is that I managed to get my old car that has been broken for three months somewhat fixed. It is now drivable and hopefully it will hold up for a little while. The original problem was diagnosed wrong by a tech to try to sell me services I did not really need (new radiator, new thermostat and housing).

It was more a case of old bad coolant mixture that sludged over and clogged the radiator. It took a lot of radiator flushes to mostly clear the cooling system of gunk. Running the flushes showed that the car thermostat was working fine so there was no need to replace it. Overall, it costs about $200 to get the car in working order rather than around $2100 that the mechanic wanted to charge me.

At least car life is somewhat possible as long as I have gas money. Better than having to wander the streets.

My father is in the hospital. Also, my car is now definitely shot. The radiator is officially cracked now and it is leaking coolant. It took multiple times pulling over to let the car cool down enough in order to get back home while I was still in town. My old POS car is now up for the scrap heap. I got to use it again for about one month. I better arrange to get rid of it.

I had a job (wagie but better than nothing) lined up but that is now shot. It was a job out of town which I would be required to drive to. Also, hobo maxxing is in the cards again.
